In May 2006, Genworth Financial acquired Continental Life Insurance Company of Brentwood, Tennessee (Continental Life) and American Continental Insurance Company (American Continental). Although we might look a little different today, we’re still the same company. We offer a growing portfolio of quality products for the senior market; we have the same dedicated associates many of you have come to know over our 24+ year history; and we take great pride in our personalized customer service – in this world of automation, we still personally answer every phone call!

Our goal is to continue to build on our solid foundation and leverage the financial strength that comes with being a part of the Genworth family. We are thrilled that A.M. Best Company upgraded the Continental Life financial strength rating* to “A” Excellent (as of April 4, 2007) from the “B++” Very Good rating in place when Continental Life was acquired. And, equally exciting is that American Continental is rated "A-" Excellent (as of June 16, 2008) from A.M. Best Company. I hope this gives you even more confidence in our company. We appreciate the choice you have made to do business with us, and the trust you place in us to deliver solutions to help meet your clients’ insurance needs.

So what does it all mean? Simply stated, we want to be the best we can be for our policyholders, agents and associates. We have delivered that level of service in the past, and we will continue to do so.
