In May 2006, Genworth Financial acquired Continental Life Insurance Company of Brentwood, Tennessee (Continental Life) and American Continental Insurance Company (American Continental). We continue to offer a growing portfolio of quality products for the senior market; we have dedicated and knowledgeable associates that many of you have come to know over our 25+ year history; and we take great pride in our quick claims payments and personalized customer service – in this world of automation, we still personally answer every phone call!

Our goal is to continue to build on our solid foundation and leverage the financial strength that comes with being a part of the Genworth family. Continental Life has an A.M. Best financial strength rating* of A- Excellent (as of February 20, 2009) -- an upgrade from the B++ Very Good rating that was in place when Continental Life was acquired. And, equally exciting is that American Continental is also rated A- Excellent (as of June 16, 2008) from A.M. Best Company. I hope this gives you even more confidence in our company. We appreciate the choice you have made to do business with us, and the trust you place in us to deliver solutions to help meet seniors’ insurance needs.
