Supplier Segmentation

Each year, the Genworth Sourcing team conducts a supplier segmentation assessment of its Strategic Suppliers. Based on the results of the segmentation, the suppliers will be placed in one of four categories: Basic Supplier, Business Relationship, Innovative Partnership and Breakthrough Collaboration. To be considered for the Strategic Supplier Program Initiative (SSPI), suppliers must be in the Innovative Partnership or Breakthrough Collaboration categories. However, based on supplier perfomance and value of the relationship, suppliers can be moved in and out of the SSPI program.
