For Non-Profits
The Genworth Foundation makes a direct investment in the community by providing non-profits with the funding and organizational support they need.
Due to the large volume of requests, the Genworth Foundation is unable to grant every proposal. Unsolicited proposals are not encouraged. Qualification considerations include geographic location, synergy with Genworth areas of giving focus and involvement of Genworth associates.
Charitable Grants
The majority of grants are awarded annually in the Fall for the following year. Additionally, the Genworth Foundation Board meets quarterly and provides limited support on a rolling basis throughout the remainder of the year. Notification of decisions will be sent via mail.

Matching Gifts
The Genworth Foundation helps increase the giving power of Genworth employees and retirees by matching donations to schools, colleges and universities, as well as approved social service and other community-based organizations. All organizations must confirm compliance with program criteria to access the Genworth Matching Gifts system and participate in the program. By law, Genworth can only match gifts to organizations based in the United States.

Volunteer Grant
To demonstrate our appreciation to Genworth employees, we have developed the Genworth Volunteer Grants Program, which provides funding to eligible community organizations and schools where Genworth associates are actively volunteering. This is Genworth’s way of thanking our employees for reaching out, giving back and helping make their communities even better places to live. All organizations must confirm compliance with program criteria to access the Genworth Volunteer Grants system and participate in the program. Non-profit Executive Scholarship Program
As part of our commitment to supporting community-based partners, Genworth has teamed with the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia to offer unique scholarship opportunities for learning and growth through Executive Education programs. We believe these scholarships at Darden will enable non-profit executives to have a positive impact on those they serve, furthering the mission of their organizations as well as our investment in them.

Skills-Based Volunteering
Genworth believes one of the best ways to help a non-profit is through taking the business skills and expertise of our Genworth employees to help organizations in our communities succeed. Through Skills-Based Volunteering, our employees can help charity organizations by offering technical skills for activities such as creating a budget or financial plan, developing a marketing campaign or facilitating strategic planning.
