Buck Stinson has been president of Genworth Financial’s Long Term Care Insurance business based in Richmond, Virginia, since 2001. The company offers a full line of long term care insurance products including individual, group, linked benefits combining long term care insurance with universal life insurance and annuities, and Medicare supplement insurance. Additionally, Genworth offers a robust wellness program to its customers and comprehensive care coordination services for long term care insurance policyholders.

With more than 30 years of experience, 1 million-plus policyholders, and more than $1.7 billion of premium in force, Genworth Life Insurance Company is a long term care insurance industry leader. Today Genworth insures nearly 30 percent of those consumers who own an individual long term care insurance policy.

Buck is active in public policy development and consumer awareness efforts, and plays a leading role in stimulating the long term care dialogue in public and private sectors. He serves as a board member of America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), and the National Commission for Quality Long-term Care (NCQLTC).

Before Genworth’s IPO in 2004, Buck had more than 15 years of leadership experience with GE. Prior to his current role, he was president of GE Financial's Personal Financial Services organization, where he was responsible for the strategic leadership of the agent-based distribution channel.

Buck also held key leadership positions at GE Capital's Card Services business, serving in positions of increasing responsibility including roles in general management, credit, collections, quality, and sourcing.

Before joining GE, Buck worked with Citicorp Acceptance Corporation (CAC) with leadership responsibilities on the audit staff for the credit underwriting and collection functions in CAC’s Automobile and Mobile Home Divisions

A Chicago native, Buck graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia, earning a BSBA in 1985 and an MBA in 1986.
