HURRICANE CALL CENTER

With hurricane season in full swing, Genworth financial knows how important it is to be prepared for any emergency.

To help meet the needs of our policyholders, distributors and employees during hurricane crisis situations, Genworth has set up a Hurricane Call Center Hotline.

This hotline was created to quickly direct you to the appropriate servicing area to answer your questions about claims, premium payments, annuity checks and any other crisis-related inquiries. The number will be available throughout the entire hurricane season.

For Those Impacted by Hurricanes Gustav and Ike

Genworth understands this is a difficult time for its policyholders, distributors and employees in areas impacted by these storms. We will do everything we can to help you through these difficult times.

Our Service Centers are prepared to quickly process loan requests and claims when they are received and special handling procedures are in place for withdrawal requests and address and phone number changes.

Genworth will be working with state departments of insurance to implement all directives for impacted policyholders.

In general, for individuals in disaster designated counties and zip codes, Genworth will extend grace periods; limit policy cancellations, lapses, and non-renewals; and provide additional time to gather the necessary documentation for life, long-term care, Medicare supplement, and other accident and health insurance application documentation and premiums as appropriate. Genworth will also institute special handling arrangements for the payment of life and health claims to ensure timely delivery in affected areas.
