Making a World of Difference

For Youth
Many of us remember that one person – a parent, teacher, coach or neighbor – who made a difference to us as we were growing up. That supportive pat on the back after a job well done inspired self-confidence and fostered our future success. Unfortunately, many children aren’t so lucky. At Genworth, we believe in supporting organizations that provide opportunities for at-risk youth, to help release their inner potential and overcome barriers.

With Housing
Our world is experiencing a global housing crisis. Today, a billion people – 32 percent of the global urban population – live in urban slums.* Part of our mission is to make the dream of decent, accessible housing a reality. At Genworth, we believe in supporting organizations that provide safe and affordable homes and that meet other critical basic needs, such as food. Our mission to do so has reached around the globe, from Canada to Australia to the US.

For Seniors
In less than a century, the human race has gained more in life expectancy than in the preceding 50 centuries combined.** Although the growth of the aging population is a great human achievement, it brings with it obvious challenges related to health, treatment and resources.

At Genworth, we believe in supporting organizations that help seniors battle Alzheimer’s, work with seniors to help them stay safely in their own homes longer and make a difference by celebrating caregivers.
