Making a World of Difference

Stamford Area Mentoring Program
Students in Stamford have benefited thanks to the efforts of Genworth Volunteers, who volunteered with the Stamford Area Mentoring Program. This partnership was created in 1997 to protect youth from drug use, school failure, and other related problems through adult mentoring. The volunteers are committed to mentoring in order to help children live better lives. Children with good role models are more likely to avoid alcohol and drugs, stay in school, and have a better self-image. Earlier this year, the Governor of Connecticut recognized Genworth Volunteers for their commitment to mentoring.
