Employees are the heart of Genworth’s community involvement. They have made commitments to improve the communities where they live and work. Our employees also donate time and money to non-profits and volunteer projects around the globe.
Genworth provides all employees with annual volunteer time off - 40 hours for full-time employees and 20 hours for part-time employees. While employees can spend this time with any non-profit of their choice, Genworth rewards partnering with the Company on volunteer events with up to $200 annually in volunteer rewards that employees can donate to qualified non-profits of their choice. Genworth determines where to focus its volunteer efforts based on a biennial surveys that employees participate in to select focus areas. Volunteer councils of employees plan events throughout the year based on the selected focus areas for each office location.
Employees give to non-profit organizations throughout the year. The Genworth Foundation facilitates employee giving through various giving campaigns and increases the giving power of Genworth employees by providing a 50% matching donation to qualified organizations.
