Information Technology is the central nervous system that enables the success of our products and ultimately our business. The IT Development Program is an entry-level development program for energetic and talented technologists with strong technical and analytical skills wishing to pursue a career in IT. As an industry leader, Genworth continues to compete and win in our broad range of global products by producing our IT talent in-house. The program runs approximately 24 months and includes four, six-month rotational assignments that are coupled with intense training opportunities that include two IT Boot Camps. Participants will receive on-the-job training and/or formal coursework in advanced information technology and systems.
This position consists of a series of on-going and challenging work assignments that are paired with classroom training and observational learning. Projects consist of developing and strengthening skills in product introduction, infrastructure, web development and the delivery of world-class innovative IT solutions. These assignments will expose members to new methodologies for combating complex business problems with simple solutions and will include a series of comprehensive courses to develop knowledge and skills. Participants will also be working with highly skilled Genworth employees who can become valuable resources throughout their career. Throughout the whole course, opportunities to strengthen leadership skills in Genworth's renowned leadership development curriculum are provided.
